Getting the pipe ready
- Fill up the pipe gently with tabacco.
- Light it and smoke very slowly.
- If the pipe is getting hot or the wood is starting to burn, stop smoking (bitter-acid-tasting tobbacco).
- Tamp down the tabacco and let the pipe go out.
- After cooling it down, re-light the pipe.
- If you don´t manage to smoke the tobacco all the way down,
- next time you are filling the pipe up, stop at the level where the pipe went out the previous time.
- The pipe is ready to be used when a hard black glassy coating resistant to burning appears in the cavity of the pipe head.
