How the pipe is made
- A piece of suitable briar has to be selected (this is important for shape and quality of the pipe.
- An approximate shape of the pipe is crafted.
- A rough outline of pipe is shaped.
- The bowl and pot/chamber and mouthpiece are drilled.
- Sanding to the required shape.
- The mouthpiece is fitted on the steam (shank).
- It is then gently sandblasted.
- Next is varnished or waxed and then polished.
- Finally is packed into the cloth bag and cardboard bow with velvet pad.
